Friday is Halloween, which means children in all sorts of wacky and weird costumes will be taking to the streets for free candy. But what about us adults? We like treats too. And while candy is nice, a full meal is nicer.

Luckily, there is additional reason to celebrate Friday. Ben Lomand Connect is holding its customer appreciation celebration Oct. 31 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Free hotdogs, chips, drinks and cookies will be served at the BLC office at 311 N. Chancery St.

And if that's not enough, BLC promotional items will also be given away while supplies last and, of course, free candy will be available for trick-or-treaters. Similar events will be held at BLC's offices in Tracy City, Manchester, Sparta and Crossville.

"Customer Appreciation Day is one of our favorite days of the year," BLC CEO/General Manager Greg Smartt said. "It is a chance for us to treat our customers to a meal, shake a hand and catch up with them at all of our offices. Having it on Halloween makes it extra special with any trick-or-treaters who want to stop by. We look forward to seeing as many of our customers who can come out to see us."

Until next time, the Beat goes on

While BLC is happy to show its customers some appreciation tomorrow, I'd like to show some appreciation back to BLC for sponsoring Biz Beat. Their support, and the support of all our other advertisers and subscribers, is the driving force behind the Main Street Journal's success. Thanks for all the encouragement in our mission to keep local, reliable journalism alive and well in Warren County.
