My Biz Beat column typically runs on Friday, but when business news hits, I try to bring it to you as quickly as I can as a Biz Bite. So here’s a little morsel to start your week.

Those looking to follow the Taco Bell marketing slogan to “make a run for the border” in Warren County will have to be patient. The popular fast food restaurant at 1405 Smithville Hwy. is closed starting today for renovations.

I first reported on the impending closure in Biz Beat on May 16. An estimate I heard put the process at approximately 60 days, although I haven’t received any official word on how long the closure will last.

I’m sure Taco Bell will come back better than ever but, for now, those of us with a late-night craving will have to consider other options.
