Christa Pike has been discharged from the hospital and is now back in prison after the Tennessee Department of Correction attempted to execute her by lethal injection on September 30th.
Pike has been returned to the Deborah K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center where she has been incarcerated for over 30 years.
She is reportedly talking, walking with assistance and able to eat. However, questions remain about the long-term cognitive effects from the botched execution.
Christa Pike was sentenced to death for the 1995 torture and murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer in Knoxville.
