New country cooking food truck rolls into Sparta

Christy’s Country Cooking and Catering has brought a new country-style food truck to Sparta, offering the kind of meals that feel right at home for a community rooted in local flavors and long-standing Southern food traditions. The truck made its debut on February 3 and has already made its way to several locations around town, quickly becoming a familiar sight to residents. 

Owners Christy Goines and Jason Wilson, both lifelong locals, say they wanted to fill a gap they noticed in the weekly food scene. “This is our hometown, and we noticed that a lot of places are closed on Mondays, so we’re open on Mondays,” Goines said the idea for the truck grew from something personal for her.
