Lieutenant Jake DeRossett, with the Crossville Fire Department, has been recognized as Crossville’s Outstanding Employee of the Quarter for June 2026. 

Lt. DeRossett started with the city Fire Department as a volunteer and has served as a full-time firefighter for 18 years.

During the construction of the new Fire Station 2, Jake was the technical point of contact for the needs of the new building and was able to greatly assist our IT Department with installation of networking equipment, workstations, emergency radios and call system.

His technical experience allowed him to make recommendations that were efficient, effective and applicable to the true needs of the firefighters serving from that station. 

Jake did all of this while still leading his team of firefighters, participating in trainings and running calls. 

The City of Crossville congratulates Lt. DeRossett and is grateful for his commitment to service.
