Main Street Media is partnering with Blood Assurance to host a community blood drive Tuesday, offering local residents an opportunity to give back in a way that could help save lives across the region.

The drive is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Main Street Media, located at 230 W. Colville St. in McMinnville.

Organizers say the event is part of an ongoing effort to maintain a stable blood supply, particularly as hospitals continue to rely on consistent donations to meet patient needs. According to Blood Assurance, a single blood donation has the potential to save up to three lives.

Community members are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance at bloodassurance.org/mainstreetmedia, though walk-ins may be accepted as space allows.

As an added incentive, all donors who give between April 16 and April 30 will receive a free “Do Good, Feel Good” T-shirt while supplies last.

Blood Assurance, a nonprofit serving much of Tennessee and surrounding states, supplies blood products to numerous hospitals in the region. Officials routinely stress that maintaining an adequate blood supply depends heavily on local participation in drives like the one planned in McMinnville.

Donors must meet standard eligibility requirements, including being in good health and meeting minimum age and weight guidelines. Identification is required at the time of donation.

Organizers say they hope to see strong turnout from the community, emphasizing that even a single donation can make a meaningful difference for patients in need.
