The first year of Warren County’s revamped 3–5 grade girls league could not have delivered a better ending. From opening night in September to championship Friday at Dibrell, this group of nine schools produced one of the most competitive, dramatic and memorable elementary seasons in recent history.

Defense dominated. Stars emerged. Rivalries sparked. Crowds grew every week until they reached a championship-night roar that shook the rafters. Hickory Creek completed an undefeated dream season, Boyd fought to the final horn, Dibrell surged into a top-three finish and Centertown delivered some of the tournament’s biggest thrills, including an overtime classic in the quarterfinals. Young players grew into reliable scorers, teams evolved, and the league’s first postseason in its new format proved just how bright the future is in Warren County girls basketball.

With the season now officially in the books, here are your Final Tournament Players of the Week:

HICKORY CREEK LADY HAWKS – Karah Fish

Fish didn’t just perform — she conquered. Whether it was setting the tone against Eastside, scoring nine in a dominant semifinal win, or sinking the go-ahead free throw in the championship, Fish proved why she was named Tournament MVP. She was the steady presence Hickory Creek leaned on in pressure moments during an unforgettable, undefeated season.

BOYD LADY BRONCOS – Skylyn Wright

Wright delivered one of the most impactful tournament runs of any player in Warren County. She willed Boyd forward in a gritty semifinal win over Dibrell, scoring seven of her team’s 10 points in a defensive classic. In the championship, she helped Boyd build a halftime lead and kept her team within striking distance until the final second. A true two-way tone-setter.

DIBRELL LADY WILDCATS – Anna Kate Bryant

Bryant saved her best for the end. She was huge in the quarterfinal win over Irving College and then delivered a massive fourth quarter in the third-place game, scoring four points to help seal a 13–4 victory. Whether creating pressure defensively or knocking down key shots, Bryant was central to Dibrell’s strong tournament finish.

CENTERTOWN LADY WARRIORS – Sadie Clark

Clark hit clutch free throws in overtime as Centertown survived West 15–13 in one of the tournament’s most thrilling games. She added the team’s only points in the semifinal against Hickory Creek and battled all week in the paint.

EASTSIDE LADY BULLDOGS – Mia Rodriguez

Rodriguez broke Eastside onto the scoreboard in the quarterfinal against undefeated Hickory Creek and competed with relentless effort against the toughest defense in the bracket. Her fight kept Eastside from getting blanked and set the tone for her team.

IRVING COLLEGE LADY TIGERS – Hadlee Green

Green provided the spark in Irving College’s opening-round win over Bobby Ray, delivering timely steals, fast-break points, and poise in late-game moments. A steady contributor all season, she helped carry the Lady Tigers to the program’s first postseason win of the new 3–5 grade era and continued to play hard against tough defensive opponents.

MORRISON LADY EAGLES – Kinsley Jones

Jones delivered a gutsy performance in Morrison’s quarterfinal against Boyd, scoring five of the Lady Eagles’ six points. Fighting through one of the league’s toughest defenses, she carried the offensive load and kept her team competing until the final horn.

WEST LADY WIZARDS – Chloe Meeks

Meeks brought physicality and fire to West’s interior game, battling in the paint during the Lady Wizards’ Monday win over Irving College and anchoring their defensive presence in a narrow overtime loss to Centertown. Her willingness to mix it up under the basket gave West a spark when it needed it most.

BOBBY RAY LADY STARS – Nyla Millraney

In a tournament where every point mattered for the Lady Stars, Millraney once again showed why she has been Bobby Ray’s heartbeat all season. She opened postseason play by breaking the ice in a tense defensive struggle with Irving College and kept attacking until the final buzzer. Her relentless effort on both ends reflects the promise of a young roster that never backed down, no matter the opponent.
