Week six of the high school football season is in the book and the two schools on the plateau split.
Cumberland County Jets looked to build momentum off their close loss last week however McMinn Central shut out the Jets and gave CCHS their 6th straight loss. Cumberland County falls to 0-6 on the year and will hope to snap that losing streak next week against East Ridge.
Stone Memorial was able to snap their two-game losing streak after a successful road trip to McMinnville. The Panthers played well on every side of the ball leading to a 42-7 win for SMHS. The Panthers are now 3-3 and are back in Region play next week against a Macon County team looking to bounce back after falling to White County.
