McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jessie Allen Jennings, 74, was born May 12, 1951 and died March 30, 2026 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga following an extended illness.
A nurseryman and member of First Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith, he was the son of the late James Andrew and Beulah Maude White Jennings. He was married to Hazel Jennings on Dec. 24, 1969 who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by siblings, James Houston Jennings, Teddy Ray Jennings and Paulette Basham; brother-in-law, Tommy Pack and sisters-in-law, Patricia Ann Jennings and Shirley Jean Fults.
Mr. Jennings is survived by children, Troy Allen Jennings, Jody Lynn Jennings and Leah (Dwight) Johnson, all of McMinnville; grandchildren, Jessica Hollie (Ellis) Mullins, Alisha (Casey) Fults, Chelsea (Cory) Tate, Dustin Jennings, Zackery Bates and Shelby Bates, all of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Ariel, Savannah, Titus, Haizelle, Briar, Maddie, Sadie Lynn, Kinley, Jackson, Kingston, Hunter and Harlen; brother-in-law, John Alferd Basham of McMinnville; sisters-in-law, Tammy Hudson, Donna Hale and Robin Ann Jennings, all of McMinnville; special niece and nephew, Rodney and Tina Basham; special aunt, Barbara Nunley of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jennings will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at First Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
