McMinnville resident and Morgan County, AL native Kenneth Elton Mason, age 94, was born Dec. 18, 1930 and died Nov. 6, 2025 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation in McMinnville following an extended illness.

A logger and lifelong member and songleader at Grange Hall Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Elton and Anna Tanner Mason. He was married to Evelyn Carrie Wilson on June 29, 1948, who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sons, Mark Mason and Bryan Mason; grandson, Chris Mason and sisters, Carolyn Turner, Jean Ralph and Drucilla Crouch.

Mr. Mason is survived by sons, Kenneth (Teela) Mason, Vernon Mason and Robbie (Rhonda) Mason, all of McMinnville, and Russell Mason of Rock Island; grandchildren, Dewayne (Sara) Mason, Monte (Kristy) Mason, Devin (Sheli) Mason, Tina (Scott) Krofssik, Jason (Jess) Mason, Ami Mason, Allen Mason, Michaela Mason, Evan (Christina) Chisam and Erin (Ren) Watts; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Violet) Mason of McMinnville and daughter-in-law, Debbie Mason of McMinnville.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025 in High’s Chapel with David Bratcher officiating. Burial will follow at Grange Hall Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
