Mary Juanita Underwood, 91

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Mary Juanita Underwood, 91, was born Nov. 19, 1934 and died Feb. 10, 2026 at her residence following a brief illness.

A homemaker and a member of Madison Street Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Lou Edith Davenport Simpson. She was married on Dec. 6, 1953 to James William Underwood who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Brown, James, Earnest and Bernard Simpson.

She is survived by children, Jeffery H. Underwood, Darrell W. Underwood and Diane Mingle all of McMinnville; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026 in High’s Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
