- The McMinnville “Christmas in the Village” will take place at the Warren County Fairgrounds on 194 Fairgrounds Rd from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 and 4-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. The event will feature food trucks, craft vendors, live music and pictures with Santa Claus.
- McMinnville’s Silver and Gold Band, sponsored by Security Federal Savings Bank, will bring old and modern Christmas hits to life with two concerts over the next two weeks. The first will take place on Sunday, Dec. 7 at First Baptist Church located at 403 N Spring St and the second will be held on Sunday, Dec. 14 at the Three Star Mall. Both concerts will start at 3 p.m. The Silver and Gold Band, one of Tennessee’s oldest continually active community bands, is always welcome to new members and those wishing to join can contact Ron Young at 615-815-5359.
- Pure Wealth Partners, located at 1511 Sparta St, will host its annual toy drive and open house event on Friday, Dec. 12. The event kicks off with Chamber Coffee from 7:30 to 9 a.m. with coffee sponsored by The Cafe at Tree City. Donation ideas can include board games, dolls, action figures, cars, monster trucks, building blocks, puzzles, bikes and scooters for toddlers and younger kings and art supplies, sports equipment, earbuds and makeup for older kids and teenagers. - The 12th annual McMinnville Nativity Festival is set to take place Dec. 12-14 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Assembly Hall at 562 Shangri La Lane. The festival will be open Friday, Dec. 12 from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13 from 3-8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 14 from 2-6 p.m. The free event consists of a self-guided tour through hundreds of Nativity and Crèche scenes from 30 countries on display and live music will be featured each day of the event. - The City of Spencer will host its “It’s a Big Dill” Christmas Parade at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2025. Parade lineup begins at 1 p.m. at the Fairgrounds on 445 College St and the parade will end at Van Buren County High School on 337 Sparta St. Prizes will be awarded in the Business, School, and Church & Civic categories based on theme interpretation, and no Santas are permitted on floats. Following the parade, the Van Buren–Spencer Chamber of Commerce will hold a Christmas Tree Lighting at 2:30 p.m. on the Square, located at 179 College St. The free event features Christmas caroling and attendees are encouraged to bring an ornament to place on the community tree. - Cornerstone Baptist Church, located at 49 Golf Club Rd, will host their “A Baby Changes Everything Everything” event on Sunday, Dec. 14 from 6-8 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend an event which will feature a living nativity, family photos, refreshments and gifts.
- Families in Crisis will host a Sexual Assault Support Group Thursday, Dec. 18 and Thursday, Jan. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 101 W. Main St., McMinnville. The group offers survivors a safe space to receive support, take part in healing activities, increase self-esteem, and learn coping skills to empower them on their journey.
- The Warren County Republican Party will hold its monthly meeting Thursday, Dec. 18 and Jan. 15, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the early voting room of the Warren County Administration Building on Locust St. The group meets the third Thursday of each month to promote personal liberties and conservative values, as well as discuss and execute ideas to elect conservatives to local city and county government.
- The Warren County Master Gardeners’ Association will meet Thursday, Dec. 18 and Jan. 15, at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The WCMGA meets the third Thursday of each month, gathering at the fairgrounds during summer months and at the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administration Building during the rest of the year. - The Warren County Genealogical Historical Association will hold its monthly meeting Saturday, Dec. 20 and Jan. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the County Administration Building at 201 Locust St. The WCGHS meets the third Saturday of each month offering a different program or speaker. - Bethel Hill Baptist Church, located on 1137 W Green Hill Rd, presents its “Be Still and Know It’s Christmas” program to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21. Everyone is invited to the program as well as the 10:30 a.m. service and 12 p.m. lunch that precedes it.
- Caring Hearts United will start holding their monthly meetings again on Tuesday, Jan. 20 from 6-7 p.m. at Suite 4 on 352 South Chancery St. Caring Hearts United is a nonprofit organization that assists hospice units in Warren and surrounding Counties. - Heavenly Closet Thrift Store is open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 100 Market Street, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market. The organization’s soup kitchen is open Mondays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. until noon each day, at 218 E. Main St. Proceeds from the thrift store fund the soup kitchen’s efforts. Volunteers and donations are always accepted. The group is part of the “Helping Hands” ministry.
