Rock Island resident and Warren County native Norma June Barnes Gribble, 85, was born September 21, 1940 and died May 19, 2026 at her residence following a brief illness.
A retired employee of Findlay Industries and a member of Jericho Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Irene Elizabeth McGee Barnes. She was married to Phillip Lynn Gribble on Nov. 24, 1960 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Zelma Simmons and nephews, Ray and Tony Simmons.
Mrs. Gribble is survived by daughter, Phyllis Gribble Kamacho of Goodlettsville; grandchildren, Zacharery and Jonothan Kamacho; sister, Faye Davenport of McMinnville; sister-in-Law, Linda Gribble of Hermitage; nieces and nephews, Mike Simmons, Pam Harris, Keri Davenport and Mike (Lori) Gribble; several great-nieces and great-nephews and special friend and caregiver, Ann Simpson.
Norma was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with family, friends and her church family.
Funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, May 23, 2026 in High’s Chapel with Samuel Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Center Hill at Hills Creek Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
