Murfreesboro resident and Jefferson County, MO native Paula Jo Deaton Hobbs, 66, was born Dec. 15, 1959 and died unexpectedly Oct. 3, 2026 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.
An associate at Walmart and of the Presbyterian faith, she was the daughter of Donna Baird Deaton of McMinnville and the late Jerry Deaton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brother, Jay Deaton.
Mrs. Hobbs is survived by children, Charlie (Jody) Hobbs and Justin Hobbs, both of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Nathan (Emma) Hobbs and Maggie and Ella Staley; great-grandson, Myles Hobbs; mother, Donna Deaton of McMinnville; sisters, Paulette (Robert) Todd, Connie Sinks and Cindy Gannon, all of McMinnville; nieces, Julie (Adam) Mahaney and Jami (Ryan) Dunlap; father of her children, Jeff Hobbs and several other nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hobbs will be cremated. A private family inurnment will be held at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
