Security Federal Savings Bank's branch at 1017 Smithville Hwy. will be closed Monday, June 8 for building renovations.

Security Federal President and CEO Michael Griffith spoke to the Main Street Journal to provide a preview of what bank customers can expect to see when the bank branch reopens Tuesday, June 9.

"We're upgrading the interior with new flooring paint and a quartz teller row," Griffith said. "We will also be adding a new ATM soon to better accommodate all customers. We are proud to continue to improve our facilities and appreciate the continued support our community has given us."

Only the Smithville Hwy. branch will be affected by the renovations. The main office at 306 W. Main St. and the Morrison branch at 5839 Manchester Hwy. will remain open.
