Donning a brace on her right knee and now a mask to cover a broken nose, White County High School junior Ashlynn Selby was the definition of grit Friday night in Cumberland County. ‘Grit’ was the word Warriorette Coach Michael Dodgen used when speaking with 92.7 YERT FM after watching his junior standout lead the team all night long and then pull the Warriorettes from behind and save them from an upset, sealing a 72–68 win over the Lady Jets.
