The City of Crossville and the Cumberland County Industrial Development Board have announced a $50 million, 18.9-acre retail development across from Buc-ee’s that is expected to create 200 jobs.

Developed by Monica L. Cantera-Serralta in partnership with Crossville Commons, LP, the center will feature major national retailers including Aldi, Hobby Lobby, Marshall’s, and Burlington, with leasing managed by TSCG Nashville.

The public-private partnership utilizes sales tax increment financing in collaboration with SmartBank, funding site infrastructure through future sales tax revenues generated by the new commercial activity rather than existing public funds.

A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for November 5, 2026, at 11 a.m.
