As snow continued to fall Monday afternoon, Warren County remains under a Winter Weather Advisory issued by the U.S. National Weather Service. The advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Monday, March 16. Accumulations of up to one inch are possible.
The snow has already created dangerous conditions, particularly at higher elevations. County officials have reported travel has become treacherous on Highway 8. Unless completely necessary, motorists are encouraged to avoid the area, and to exercise extreme caution if they must travel.
Social media users have reported wrecks and stalled traffic in the area of Harrison ferry Mountain. The Tennessee Department of Transportation is currently on the scene to help clear the roadway.
