Big crowd gathers to celebrate Mayfield at retirement ceremony

Rob Nunley photos - Ex-chiefs united Friday, when former McMinnville Police Chief Brian Denton presented retiring Fire Chief Kendall Mayfield with a flashy police cap at his retirement ceremony. Denton received an official firefighter's helmet from Mayfield when he retired, but admitted his gift to the outgoing fire chief was slightly less expensive.
