The Putnam County Rescue Squad’s Rope Rescue Team, Monterey Police Department  and multiple other agencies responded to Bee Rock in Monterey Saturday night to assist with three individuals who had become stranded on a steep hillside.

According to the Rescue Squad, two of the individuals were clinging to small shrubs near the edge of a bluff that was more than 50 feet high. The Squad’s rope rescue team safely accessed the hillside and worked to bring all three individuals back to a safe location.

Everyone was able to walk away with only minor scrapes.
