Tony E.L. Martin, 59

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Tony E.L. Martin, 59, was born May 29, 1967 and died Sept. 5, 2026 at his residence following a brief illness.

A nurseryman with Plant A Tree Nursery and of the Baptist faith, he was the son of the late Mort Bernis and Willie Lucille Roberts Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Joann Nelson; brothers, Ricky Martin, Donnie Martin, Leonard Martin, Eddie Martin and Ernest Martin; nephew, Junior Bates; great-nephew, Tallon Dyer; brother-in-law, Troy Jones and son-in-law, Steve Sutherland.

He was married to Anita Kaye Herman Martin of McMinnville on May 21, 1987. In addition to his wife, Mr. Martin is survived by children, Travis Dewane Martin, Mary Rogers and Amanda Carol Martin Sutherland, all of McMinnville, and Austin Jered Martin of Manchester; grandchildren, Zoey Davenport, Fynn Martin Sutherland, Daisha Staples and Ava Martin; brothers, James B. Sr.,(Marie) Martin and Billy (Janet) Martin, both of Morrison and Marcus Martin of McMinnville; sisters, Dorothy (Bruce) Layne of Gruetli-Laager, Patsy Jones and Peggy Martin, both of McMinnville and Sherry (Wayne) Duggin of Green Hill; sister-in-law, Anna Martin of Rock Island and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2026 in High’s Chapel with Mike Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow at Webb Cemetery at Bluff Springs in Warren County. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
