TWRA reminds all boaters to make safety a priority this Labor Day weekend.

Before you get on the water, check your boat’s safety equipment including lights, horns, and emergency supplies.

All boat occupants must have a properly fitted life jacket.  Children 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket at all times while the boat is underway on an open deck.

Stay alert for severe weather, water hazards, swimmers, paddle crafts and reckless boaters.

Follow all posted speed limits and no-wake zones.

Don't drink alcohol while operating a boat and make sure passengers don’t engage in dangerous behaviors so everyone can enjoy a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.
