Venita Lee Tittsworth Rutland, 70

Venita Lee Tittsworth Rutland, 70, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born May 7, 1956 and passed away on Aug. 10, 2026.

Venita was known for her beautiful smile, contagious laughter and larger than life loving personality that she shared with everyone around her. She was a very talented hair stylist for more than fifty years. She began her career in Manchester, moving on to McMinnville where she worked with her sister Barbara for many years at Stylenchant. She also worked at Hair Affair before becoming the owner of V’s Hair Salon, working alongside her daughter, Tanera for the past 26 years.

Venita found joy spending time at home and being outside cutting her grass and tending to her flower gardens. She also loved traveling to the beach with her family and friends. Her greatest love was being with her daughter and grandson. She loved nothing more than watching her “greatest blessing," Jack Thomas, race on the dirt tracks. She was his biggest fan.

Earlier this year she rededicated her life to Christ and attended Outreach Baptist Church in Smithville. Her faith and love for her family were important parts of her life.

She was the daughter of the late C. N. “Poly” and Emma Cansas Tittsworth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Janice Smith and Barbara Bryan, as well as her brother, Frank “Buddy” Tittsworth.

Venita leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her daughter, Tanera (Randy) Taylor of McMinnville; grandson, Jack Thomas Steagall of McMinnville; sister, Fay Fann of Woodbury; nephews Javin (Angie) Fann, Justin (Heather) Fann and Bryson (Heather) Bryan; a host of other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as a many great long lasting friendships.

Venita’s laughter, smile, generous spirit and love for her family will be deeply missed. Though she is no longer here, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Per her wishes, Ms. Rutland will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
