Crossville
A fugitive from Virginia has been charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault in Crossville, Tennessee after Police responded to a BOLO regarding a U-Haul vehicle and a possible domestic violence incident.
The U-Haul was located on the grounds of Victory Baptist Church and the suspect was identified as twenty-six-year-old Bradley Wayne Hoffman. According to reports, video shows Hoffman holding onto the arms of a 34-year-old female victim while the vehicle was being moved, essentially dragging her. Police say the video also shows Hoffman hitting the woman several times while trying to get her back into the vehicle. The victim stated that Hoffman prevented her from leaving the vehicle.
Drug paraphernalia was reportedly found in the victim's bag.
Inside the U-Haul, Officers recovered an estimated $10,000 worth of maintenance-related items with a college name on them. The items are believed to be stolen out of Kentucky.
Dispatch advised that Hoffman was wanted in Virginia for statutory burglary, DWI, and unauthorized use of an animal.
Hoffman was transported to the Cumberland County Jail. His bond was set at $800,000.
