White County pitched a shutout enroute to a playoff win over the Eagles
The first round of the playoffs were played at White County High School Monday evening seeing a double-header with Van Buren County squaring off against Livingston Academy and then the White County Warriorettes host the Shelbyville Central Eagles.
The Eaglettes of VBCHS took a 40-19 come from behind win over L.A., then it was time for Sparta's team to hit the field. Right out of the gate the Warriorettes took control and never looked back. The Warriorettes routed the team from Bedford County 33-0.
Star Warriorette Sara Winfree was behind all touchdowns for WCHS. The sophomore ran in three rushing touchdowns and hit the air for two passing td's. In her last home game senior Addy Cocke caught one of those touchdown passes while Cassandra Saliani wrangled in the other.
The Warriorettes will be heading west to Murfreesboro for the second round against Blackman tonight.
