Mr. A.D. Lorance, 84, of Morrison passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 at his residence. He was born at the home of his parents off of Francis Ferry Road on March 24, 1942.

He dedicated many years to serving his country. Mr. Lorance served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1960 until 1963 and in Vietnam from 1965 until 1966. He served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam from 1967 until 1968. His commitment to service extended further as he served in the National Guard from 1972 until 1978.

He worked for 35 years at the Carrier plant in Morrison. He was a faithful child of God and was a member of the Lighthouse Bible Church in Viola. Mr. Lorance enjoyed riding his tractor tending to his land, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. He enjoyed going on mission trips and getting to serve the Lord. He was a very devoted father and grandfather, cherishing the time spent with his family.

 He is survived by his children Nathan Meredith Lorance of McMinnville and Jason (Lia) Lorance of Morrison, stepson Kelly Lorance, grandchildren Jessica Meade Gray, Tiffany (Sam) Gardner, Corey Lorance, and Lisa Burns, step granddaughter MaKayla Lorance, great grandchildren Raven Chenault, Willow Meade, Konnor Moore, Salem Gray, and Caitlyn Forbes, siblings Garland (Margie) Lorance, Charlene (Mike) Hennahan, Ronnie (Anita) Lorance, and Connie (John) Peden, extended family Casey (Carolyn) Jacobs and their children, Cheyenne, Kaci Nevaeh, Chloe, Levi, and EllaMae. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents Jesse Curl Lorance and Claudia Sylvia Adcock Lorance, infant brothers Glen Dwight Lorance and James Michael Lorance, and nephews Mark Hennahan and James William Nunley.

 Funeral services for Mr. Lorance are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Jackie Matheny, Chris Sparkman, and Kevin Lorance will officiate. Interment will follow at New Union Cemetery in the Belk Community. Military Grave Rites will be administered by the V.F.W. post 5064 and the American Legion post 173. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
