A White County man is facing an aggravated assault charge after deputies say he came onto a McMinnville Highway property with a garden hoe raised in the air and swung it toward a 16-year-old.
The warrant does not state what led up to the encounter. It does not say why Thomas M. Tolsch, 45, came onto the property or what prompted the exchange. But according to the affidavit, the situation escalated quickly once he was there.
