From Sparta to the Sweet 16: Stiles set to shine on national stage

For anyone who has followed White County basketball over the past several years, the name Alaina Stiles is one that still carries weight inside Roy Sewell Gymnasium. And now, that familiar name is back in the spotlight — this time on a national stage.

Stiles, a 2022 graduate of White County High School, is helping lead the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions into the Sweet 16 of the NAIA National Tournament. The tournament will be held March 19–24 in Sioux City, Iowa, with the Lady Lions set to take the floor Thursday at 1 p.m. Central Time against Georgetown College (KY).
