After a highly successful one-week departure from the norm, Main Street Live returns to Security Federal Savings Bank's west lawn Friday night for a performance by Rae Radick and her tribute show Iconic Women of Music. Last Friday, Main Street McMinnville, organizers of Main Street Live, moved the free summer concert series to the Milner Recreation Center to be a part of Freedom Fest sponsored by Ben Lomand Connect and First National Bank of Middle Tennessee for McMinnville's Fourth of July celebration.
"We had a fantastic time combining Main Street Live with Freedom Fest last week," Main Street McMinnville Executive Director Jennifer Flatt Meredith said. "The Joe Harvey Band and Ninth Sun gave amazing performances, and it was such a joy to see our community come together and enjoy the celebration. Huge thanks to our incredible sound and video production crew. Their hard work made the transition seamless. We'd also like to thank Justin Scott at the Milner Recreation Center for helping coordinate it all. That said, we’re excited to return to our usual spot on the west lawn at Security Federal Savings Bank this Friday. It’s a location that feels like home for Main Street Live, and we love the tradition we’ve built there."
Radick is set to take the stage Friday to celebrate legendary female artists who need only one name to conjure a wealth of memories - Cher, Shania, Dolly, Tina, Stevie, Janis and more. Radick, a Pennsylvania native, worked for a decade as an actress, model and singer/songwriter in New York and now lives in Nashville and tours nationally. She has opened for Miranda Lambert, Phil Vassar, Brett Young, Maddie & Tae and Bret Michaels and has performed at Palladium Theater in Times Square as well as playing multiple weekly residencies on Broadway in Nashville.
"We can’t wait to have her here and enjoy an evening of powerful, unforgettable music," Meredith said.
Radick's high-energy show is set to begin at 7 p.m. while vendors open at 6 p.m. At the time of this writing, Accuweather predicts a 65% chance of precipitation and a 39% probability of thunderstorms Friday. In case of inclement weather, a decision on whether to go on with the show is typically made at noon Friday. The Park Theater, sometimes used as a backup venue in case of rain, is unavailable this week.
Main Street Live is presented by Main Street McMinnville and is sponsored by Main Street Media, Security Federal Savings Bank, Main Street McMinnville, Bridgestone, McMinnville Electric System, Scooter's Coffee, Dr Pepper, Ben Lomand Connect, Law Offices of Galligan & Newman, Warren County, City of McMinnville, The Cafe at Tree City, The Butcher and Middle Tennessee Natural Gas Utility District.
