A reported burglary at a Sparta home led White County investigators to what they describe as a much larger criminal conspiracy involving recorded jail phone calls, a house key and three men accused of trying to take control of the property.
The investigation resulted in multiple felony charges after detectives
The White County Commission voted Monday to rescind its previous support for Flock Safety license plate reader cameras and approved a separate resolution prohibiting AI- and data-processing facilities connected to the electrical grid in White County.
As traffic continues to increase around several growing areas of Sparta, city officials are moving quickly to make two intersections safer before students return to school later this month.
During Thursday's meeting, the Sparta Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved installing a three-way stop at the intersection
