McMinnville resident and Celina native Betty Jane Garrett Stubblefield, 94, was born Nov. 1, 1931 and died April 4, 2026 at her residence following a four-month illness.
A retired secretary and member of the Mt. Leo Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Oren and Beatrice Garrett. She was married Sept. 28, 1950 to the late Charles B. Stubblefield. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Courtney Wilson and great-granddaughter, Sunny Guthrie.
Mrs. Stubblefield is survived by four children, David (Vickie) Stubblefield of Madison, Ala. and John (Linette) Stubblefield, Paul Stubblefield and Rachel Crouch all of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Waye of Madison, Ala., Amy Mitchell of McMinnville, Luke Stubblefield of Kentucky, Bethany (Alex) Guthrie of McMinnville, Summer (Shay) Glenn of Nashville and Andrew Crouch of McMinnville; twenty-two great-grandchildren, Emory Waye, Taylor Waye, Isaac Waye, Cameron Wilson, Clair Wilson, Joshua (Morgan) Hurst, Samantha Hurst, Aaron Hurst, Isaiah Mitchell, Zada Mitchell, Bradley Hurst, Nathan Hurst, Troy Stubblefield, Blaine Stubblefield, Levi Stubblefield, Daya Stubblefield, Layla-Barrie Guthrie, Lennon Guthrie, Lollie Guthrie, Goldie Guthrie, Banks Guthrie and Miller Glenn; great-great-grandson, Daclan Waye; sister, Barbara Scott of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
