Two years before Brian Anthony Schalk was charged with aggravated statutory rape involving a missing 15-year-old girl found inside his Sparta home, a female law enforcement officer went to court asking for protection from him.
Ten minutes after deputies served Schalk with that order, court records say he violated it.
The Sept. 3, 2024, case involved a different woman, a 21-year-old law enforcement officer who worked for the Cookeville Police Department. But records obtained by Main Street Journal–Sparta add another piece to Schalk’s history as investigators continue working the case that led to his arrest Sunday.
