Carolyn Faye Odineal, 82

McMinnville resident and native Carolyn Faye Odineal, 82, was born Feb. 21, 1943 and died Jan. 12, 2026 at St. Thomas River Park following an extended illness.

A retired CNA with NHC McMinnville and a member of the Christian faith, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Hoover, Sr. and Capitola Earls Davis. She was married December 10, 1960 to Bybee Clifford Odineal, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Bybee Wayne Odineal; sisters, Agnes Davis Haley Craigmile, Billie Lois Davis Brady Hobbs, Harry Jean Davis Hix; brother, Earnest Hoover Davis, Jr. and special nephew, Paul Haley.

Mrs. Odineal is survived by children, David Michael (Debra) Odineal, James Aaron Odineal and April Dawn Odineal (Kerry) Hibdon; grandchildren, Brooke (David) Sparkman-Thurman, Bybee Jansen (Dana) Odineal, Aaron Patrick (Shelly) Odineal, Ethan Michael (Alison) Odineal, Matthew Ryan Odineal and Michael Sebastian (Samantha) Hibdon; special nephew, Dale (Dianne) Haley; several great-grandchildren; longtime friend, Delma Davenport; several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, sewing, traveling & she had a green thumb that could grow anything.

Per her wishes, Mrs. Odineal will be cremated. The family will hold a graveside service at a later date.
