- Upper Cumberland Cards will host two days of card collecting events at Warren County High School, 199 Pioneer Lane, beginning with a free Trade Night on Friday, Oct. 9, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the school's indoor facility building. The casual gathering will give collectors an opportunity to buy, sell and trade sports, Pokémon and other trading cards. The monthly card show will follow Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Charlie Dalton Gymnasium, featuring 120 tables and approximately 70 dealers, along with more than $300 in giveaways and a food truck. - The Warren County Rescue Squad will hold a Country Ham Breakfast fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 10, from 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Rescue Squad building on 524 Sparta St. Breakfast plates are $12 and include ham or sausage, two biscuits, potatoes, scrambled eggs and gravy. - The Tennessee Environmental Council will host a free Recycling Roundup on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Warren County Sanitation Department, 1186 Belmont Dr. The drive-through event will accept hard-to-recycle materials including electronics, tires, Styrofoam, mattresses, glass bottles, medical supplies and eyeglasses, with secure paper shredding also available. The event is free and open to the public, with suggested donations of 10-20. Volunteers are also welcome to assist with the event.
- The Warren County Prevention & Intervention Coalition will host Warren County Recovery Fest on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Freedom Life Church on 4023 Smithville Hwy. The community event will celebrate recovery, unity, healing and growth while bringing together local organizations and recovery resources. The event is presented by Shrinkty Behavioral Health and RecoverWell and will also recognize Chase Away Fentanyl in memory of Alan Vickers.
- The Warren County Corrections Partnership Committee will meet Monday, Oct. 12, at 3:30 p.m. in the training room of the Warren County Jail, 108 Security Cir.
- The Warren County Tourism Board Committee will meet Monday, Oct. 12 at 4 p.m. at the Warren County Administrative Building, 201 Locust St.
- The Tennessee Highway Patrol will hold a child passenger safety event Monday, Oct. 12, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Driver’s License Testing Center on 594 Vervilla Rd. Held as part of the National Faith & Blue initiative, the event will focus on child passenger safety while strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the community. Booster, convertible and infant car seats will be provided by Reddick Brown Ford and Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital.
- The Warren County Building and Grounds Committee will meet Monday, Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. in the new conference room at the Warren County Administrative Building, 201 Locust St.
- The Warren County Highway & Bridge Committee will meet Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 4 p.m. at 1520 Old Smithville Rd.
- The Warren County Economic & Agricultural Development Committee will meet Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 5 p.m. in the New Conference Room of the Warren County Administrative Building, 201 Locust St.
- The Joint Meeting of Budget & Finance and Financial Management will take place Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. in the New Conference Room of the Warren County Administrative Building, 201 Locust St.
- The McMinnville Children’s Museum will hold a meet and greet Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 11:30 a.m. in the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce Community Room, 110 S. Court Sq. The event will give community members an opportunity to learn more about the McMinnville Children’s Museum.
- The Warren County Republican Party will host its annual Ben Nixon Memorial Chili Cook-Off on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Westwood Church of Christ Gymnasium on 511 Morrison St. Doors open to contestants at 5 p.m. and the public at 5:30 p.m., with judging beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is $10 per person. Contestants will compete in Traditional Chili, Nontraditional Chili and Wild Card categories for $100 prizes, with attendees also selecting a $100 People's Choice winner. The evening will also include presentation of the Ben Nixon Memorial Award to the 2025-26 Warren County Republican of the Year. - A sexual assault support group will meet Thursday, Oct. 15, from 6-8 p.m. at Families in Crisis, 101 W Main St. Survivors are invited to a supportive group focused on healing, building self-esteem and developing coping skills in a safe, welcoming environment. - The Warren County Master Gardeners' Association will meet Thursday, Oct. 15, from 6-8 p.m. in the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administrative Building, 201 Locust St. Anyone who has completed the Master Gardener course is eligible to join. - The Warren County Genealogical and Historical Association will meet Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. in the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administration Building, 201 Locust St. Karen Carr will present a program on the Black House, featuring historic photographs and research on Dr. Black and his family. Carr is a former board member of the Black House Museum. Visitors are welcome to attend.
- Registration for the McMinnville Winter Tennis League is open through Sunday, Oct. 18 at Milner Recreation Center. The doubles-only league begins Nov. 6 and runs through mid-to-late February, with beginner, intermediate and advanced divisions available. Registration is $45 per player and includes admission, while spectator admission is $3. Matches will be played Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
- The Warren County Education Committee will meet Monday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. in new conference room no. 2 at the Warren County Administrative Building, 201 Locust St.
- The Warren County Health Department will offer free drive-through flu shots Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1410 Sparta St., Suite 21. - The Rock Island Community Center will host a Fall Harvest Festival and Hayride on Saturday, Oct. 24, beginning at 5 p.m. at 2886 Pine Bluff Rd. The family-friendly event will feature a hayride, games, caramel apples, funnel cakes and hot dogs.
- The McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for CM Fencing Company on Monday, Oct. 26, at 11:30 a.m. in the Chamber Community Room, 110 S. Court Square.
- Graceland Portable Buildings of Morrison will host Graceland’s Halloween Festival on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 131 C. Swift Lane in Morrison. The free, family-friendly event will feature trick-or-treating, games and activities, a kids’ pumpkin contest, Halloween displays, a food truck and family photo opportunities. - The McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for Skip’s Grill on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 11:30 a.m. at the restaurant's location, 5305 Old Nashville Hwy in Centertown.
- The McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce will host its inaugural Women Shaping Warren County Conference on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 1410 Sparta St. The event will feature interactive panel discussions, breakout sessions with local experts and the Small Business Development Center, networking, brunch and beverages, complimentary headshots, local vendors and chair massages. - Caring Hearts United will present its 16th annual Wonderland of Trees charitable event Nov. 9-14 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at Three Star Mall. The free event will feature decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces, gingerbread houses and other items available for viewing and silent bidding, along with bake sale items and entertainment Thursday through Saturday. - Heavenly Closet Thrift Store is open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 100 Market St, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market. The organization’s soup kitchen is open Mondays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. until noon each day, at 218 E Main St. Proceeds from the thrift store fund the soup kitchen’s efforts. Volunteers and donations are always accepted. The group is part of the “Helping Hands” ministry.
