Beginning Friday, Dec. 26, two stations will transition to The One, bringing faith-based music and programming to 97.7 FM and 1490 AM in Crossville and 105.5 FM and 1050 AM in Sparta.
In Sparta, WSMT, currently known as 105.5 The Mullet and airing a classic country format, will become 105.5 The One. In Crossville, WCSV, branded as 97.7 The Ticket and currently broadcasting sports programming, will transition to 97.7 The One.
This expansion follows the launch of The One in McMinnville in October. With the upcoming station flips, the format will now be available across all three Main Street Media markets.
Owners Chad Graves and Scot MacDonald said they are proud to continue expanding Contemporary Christian radio across the region and see this as an opportunity to offer more positive, faith-centered programming to local communities.
"The goal of the change is to offer encouraging content that reflects faith, family, and community," MacDonald said. "Contemporary Christian radio continues to grow nationwide, and we’re excited to bring more of this programming to listeners in the Upper Cumberland.
"We would also like to thank our founding sponsors for their early support and encouragement as we work to make this expansion possible."
Founding sponsors include: Deer Run Ranch Equine Therapy, The Body Shop, Affordable Assist Private Care, Upper Cumberland Life and Health, Cumberland Comfort Pros, The Country Kitchen, Simple Life Church, Volunteer Hearth & Home, Tommy’s Motorsports, Page Realty & Auction, Mark’s Heating and Air, Sparkle City, Sparta Drug, SPAR Gas, Morgan Furniture, the Sparta–White County YMCA, Citizens Tri-County Bank, the Price Team at Tri Star Realty and Auction, Griffin Law Group, and Auctioneer Turner McKinnie at Tri Star Realty and Auction.
Following the transition, The One will be available on air and online, with a new streaming platform coming soon. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.
