Debra Jean Waggoner Smith, 68

McMinnville resident and Bloomfield, Ind. native Debra Jean Waggoner Smith, 68, was born Jan. 14, 1958 and died April 5, 2026 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation in McMinnville following a brief illness.

A retired accountant with Walmart retail store, she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Dorothy Hollen Waggoner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David K. Smith.

Mrs. Smith is survived by children, Ross (Janice) Hart of Woodbridge, Virginia; grandchildren, Isaac Hart, Hunter Emmons, Adrionna Hart, Remington Hart and Logan Hart; brother, Roger (Jenny) Waggoner of Bloomfield, Ind.; nephews, Daniel, Matthew, and Jeremiah Waggoner and fiancé, David Wuertz.

Per her wishes, Mrs. Smith will be cremated. There will be no service or visitation held at High’s.
