Sequatchie– Special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained a warrant for a Dunlap man accused of homicide.
On September 9th, at the request of 12th Judicial District Attorney General Courtney Lynch, TBI special agents began investigating the death of 46-year-old Michael Rumbel that occurred in the 100 block of Green Forest Road. During the course of the investigation, agents identified 21-year-old Anthony Rumbel as the individual responsible for his death.
A few hours later on September 9th, Anthony was located and arrested in Marietta, Georgia by the Georgia State Patrol. He has been booked into the Cobb County Jail on original charges from GSP. TBI agents have obtained an arrest warrant charging Anthony with one count of Criminal Homicide. At the time of this release, Anthony remained in custody at the Cobb County Jail awaiting extradition back to Tennessee.
The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct, not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
