In an effort to assure every child has a merry Christmas, Warren County EMS and Rescue is extending its Fill the Ambulance campaign to offer an emergency last-minute toy store Christmas Eve.

This season the Fill the Ambulance effort has helped provide gifts for approximately 200 kids through various programs including CASA, the Hamilton Street Activity Center and HOME. Thanks to the community’s generosity, more toys will be available in front of the Warren County Courthouse from 2-5 p.m. December 24.

Families experiencing financial hardships are invited to receive gifts at no cost while supplies last. Donations of new, unopened toys will also be accepted.

"Our department is committed to serving the community in more ways than one,” Joey Clark of the Warren County EMS said. “We're grateful to the community and to our partners for helping us make sure every child can experience the magic of Christmas. This is what makes Warren County special."

Fill the Ambulance, an annual Warren County EMS project, has received support from Judge Ryan J. Moore, Warren County High School, Gracie Brock and Annabella Culwell among others.

"We all do this job because we love helping people,” Peyton Baker of Warren County EMS said. “I don’t believe that help should stop when we clock out. Kindness is free and we need more of it in this world."
