White County High School senior Estee Willis earned first place at the Rotary Club of Sparta 4-Way Speech Contest on Thursday, securing a $100 scholarship award and advancing to represent White County at the Rotary district-level competition. Willis’ winning speech addressed a timely education issue impacting students nationwide: the debate over weighted versus unweighted GPA systems in high schools.
