
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jack Smith, 74, was born Feb. 12, 1951 and died Aug. 5, 2025 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro following an extended illness.
A veteran of the United States Navy and Tennessee Army National Guard, former employee of Carrier Corporation, retired truck driver for McElroy Truck Lines and member of Madison Street Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Bro. Robert Carl and Christine Blair Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nephew, Cory Judkins.
He was married to Connie Smith of McMinnville on June 4, 2004. In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by children, Jacquelyn Smith of McMinnville, Tracie Click of Winchester, J.J. (Lindsey) Smith of Fayetteville, Wes (Joni) Johnson of Ariz., Chelsea Smith of Winchester and Abe (Amanda) Lewis of McMinnville; grandchildren, Lucas (Abbie) Crawford, Khloe Baker, Isabella (Isaiah) Harrington, Alyx (Bren) Smith, Aniston Smith, Katie Hale, Derrik Hale, Gabriel Cisneros, Elijah Cisneros, Jaxxon Lewis and Haylie Washer; great-grandchildren, Brooks Fann, Lynlie Crawford, Sunnie Crawford, Isla Harrington and Kadence Bolder; sister, Phyllis (Larry) Judkins of McMinnville; nephew, John Kelly Judkins and several cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Harlen Simmons and Jeff McKinnon officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
Full military honors will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
