Campaign, TN resident and Warren County native James William Rowland, 83, was born January 7, 1942 and died November 28, 2025 at his residence.

A veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard and a retired welder and pipe fitter for Tennessee Metal Fabricating, Mr. Rowland proudly served as a former Deacon and Elder for Campaign church of Christ. He was a 50-year member of Union Local 572 for Pipe Fitters, Steam Fitters and Sprinkler Fitters, a former member of Rock Island Lion’s Club, former Assistant Scout Master for Troop 321 and 631 and one of the founding members of the Campaign/Rock Island Fire Department. He was the son of the late William Alexander and Edith Faye Greene Rowland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son, Stephen Kyle Rowland and brother, Kelly Rowland.

Mr. Rowland was married to Patsy Ann Miller Rowland of Campaign on February 26, 1965. In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Rowland is survived by sons, Kevin (Lisa) Rowland and Greg (Shawna Murphy) Rowland, all of Campaign; grandchildren, Lindsey (Connor) Dixon, Alex (Nikki) Rowland, Kristen (Randon) Cook and Kylie Rowland; great-grandchildren, Ellie Dixon, Maggie Rowland, Lettie Dixon, Baylor Cook and two boys on the way as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Jason Gann and Steve Mayfield officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Sunday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at High's.
