McMinnville resident and a native of the Campaign community Joe Wayne Ward, 88, was born July 14, 1937 and died March 26, 2026 at the Webb House Retirement Center in McMinnville following an extended illness.
A veteran of the United States Army and retired general organizer for International Iron Workers, he was the son of the late Elijah and Lucille Dunlap Ward. He was married on Sept. 26, 1959 to Peggy Lue Hale, who preceded him in death. In additions to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by grandson, Dylan Kuhn.
Mr. Ward is survived by children, Jamie Kuhn of Acton, Calif. and Kim (Steve) Taylor of McMinnville; grandchildren, Robert Kuhn, Mary Frances (Sean) Incontro and Jessica Taylor; sisters, Faye Harris of McMinnville and Sue Jenks of Needles, Calif; brother, Dean (Charlotte) Ward of Lompoc, Calif. and several nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes, Mr. Ward will be cremated. There will be no service or visitation held at High’s.
