McMinnville resident and Grundy County native Lucille Ida Turner, 94, was born Dec. 2, 1931 and died Jan. 9, 2026 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following a brief illness.
A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late John Wayman and Dottie Devine Wanamaker Coppinger. She was married to Charles W. Turner who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by children, Steve Turner and Sheryl Turner Kirby.
Mrs. Turner is survived by one son, Mike (Phyllis) Turner of McMinnville; grandchildren, Mark Turner, Kris (Kristy) Kirby, Chelsea (Dave) Thomas and Courtney (Jordan) Holmes; step-grandson, Bill Bates and great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Kylie and Kaley Kirby, Chloe, Brennon, Baylee, Max and Connor Thomas and Jayden, Hudson and Russell Holmes.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2026 at Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County with Anthony Wanamaker officiating. There will be no visitation at High's. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
