Main Street Live's 2025 season will conclude the way it was intended to begin. After getting off to a rocky start, Main Street Live will wrap up its 21st year Friday at Security Federal Savings Bank's west lawn. The first two weeks of the free summer concert series presented by Main Street McMinnville were canceled due to rain. The group scheduled to begin the Main Street Live season, the TC Bryant Band, will instead close it as an extra week was added to the lineup as a make-up date for the popular local group's scheduled June 6 performance.
The TC Bryant Band consists of Timmy Bryant, Trent Young and his wife Shelli, Rob McCormick, Jared Denton, Marty Denton and Clark Bourque. The core of the band has been together for decades with others joining to fill out the sound more recently.
"Timmy and Rob and I have been playing together 20 years," Young said. "Shelli came along and started singing harmony with us shortly after we formed the band. A few years later Jared came along. I think this is either the third or fourth year we've had Marty and Clark with us.
"We play a little of everything," Young said. "You may not like every song we play, but we're going to play something you like if you like older music. We play older rock, classic country and some newer country. We pretty much just play what we like, and that works out because everybody else likes it, too. We will probably play a couple of originals Friday night, but we don't throw a lot in. Nobody is coming to hear our originals. They are coming to hear something they know, but we'll throw a couple in."
Main Street McMinnville organizers are happy to offer the TC Bryant Band a second chance to play Security Federal's west lawn but, if weather again poses an issue, the Park Theater will serve as a backup venue.
"We are beyond excited to welcome back fan favorite TC Bryant Band to close out this year’s Main Street Live concert series," Main Street McMinnville Executive Director Jennifer Flatt Meredith said. "TC Bryant bring so much energy and heart to our stage and it is the perfect way to end a summer of music in downtown McMinnville. It feels like the season has flown by, but what a run it’s been. We’ve had an incredible lineup of bands, great crowds and so many moments that remind us why live music brings our community together."
Main Street Live is a free community event made possible only by the hard work of volunteers and the support of sponsors, and Main Street McMinnville is appreciative of its many contributors who make the concerts a reality.
"We'd like to extend a huge thank you to Security Federal Savings Bank, Galligan and Newman, Bridgestone, Dr Pepper, Main Street Media, Middle Tennessee Natural Gas Utility District, The Café at Tree City, Ben Lomand Connect, Scooters Coffee, Warren County government, the City of McMinnville, The Butcher on Main and MES who make Main Street Live possible," Meredith said. "This concert series is a true community effort, and it wouldn’t happen without the support behind the scenes. Special thanks to my promotions team for their hard work in planning, to Trent and Ian Prater for keeping our sound on point every week and to Jason Gross and Jonathan Womack for handling all our video needs.
"We’re also grateful to Main Street Media for amplifying our series through social media, the Main Street Journal and local radio. That partnership helps us reach even more music lovers but also helps share the mission of Main Street McMinnville - supporting a vibrant, thriving downtown for our community.
"And of course, a heartfelt thank you to our amazing Main Street McMinnville volunteers who show up week after week to lend a hand and to our vendors who work with us and set up each Friday night. You all help create the energy and fun that make Main Street Live what it is. Main Street Live is all about community, music and memories. Thank you to everyone who showed up and supported downtown this summer. Let’s make this last show one to remember."
