This week’s Main Street Live promises to be a bit more explosive than the previous two weeks of the free summer concert series. The show will move from its traditional home at Security Federal Savings Bank’s West Lawn to be part of Freedom Fest, a joint effort of First National Bank of Middle Tennessee and Ben Lomand Connect, at the Milner Recreation Center. When Main Street Live ends, the fun is just beginning as the City of McMinnville‘s fireworks show will punctuate the performance from local favorites, The Joe Harvey Band.

Main Street Live gets underway an hour earlier than its typical showtime with Ninth Sun performing at 6 p.m. before The Joe Harvey Band hits the stage with a wide-range of rock at 7 p.m. Ninth Sun earned the privilege of opening the show by winning the 2024 Main Street Live Battle of the Bands. The stage will be set up between the Milner Recreation Center building and Gilley Pool facing the Jungle Jym.

“It’s always good playing in front of the hometown,” Harvey said. “We always love playing the holiday weekend and we’re honored they usually pick us for that show. It means a little extra this year with it actually being on the Fourth of July. We’re going to be playing right before the fireworks. We’re really stoked about that. We start at 7 and we’ll play right until the fireworks at 9. We’ll be part of the countdown to get the show started.”

Main Street McMinnville organizers are excited about mixing things up a bit for the holiday and are equally happy with the optimistic forecast. At the time of this writing, Accuweather predicts a high of 92 Friday with a 1% chance of precipitation and a 0% chance of thunderstorms.

“We’re so thrilled to be part of this year’s Fourth of July celebration at the Milner,” Main Street McMinnville Executive Director Jennifer Flatt Meredith said. “It was truly an honor to be invited to join in the festivities alongside First National Bank and Ben Lomand Connect. Coming together as a community to celebrate just makes sense, and it’s going to be an incredible night. We can’t wait to see everybody there.”

The night will end with a bang as Crisp Springs Fireworks will present a pyromusical firework show. Main Street Media will be on the scene throughout the evening’s events, broadcasting the concert via radio then providing synchronized music for the fireworks display which will be simulcast on STAR 107.7-FM, allowing those viewing from a distance to tune in for the full experience. In case of rain, the evening events will be moved to Saturday, July 5.

Main Street Live is presented by Main Street McMinnville and is sponsored by Main Street Media, Security Federal Savings Bank, Main Street McMinnville, Bridgestone, McMinnville Electric System, Scooter's Coffee, Dr Pepper, Ben Lomand Connect, Law Offices of Galligan & Newman, Warren County, City of McMinnville, The Cafe at Tree City, The Butcher and Middle Tennessee Natural Gas Utility District.
