Make way for the parade

Friday is Warren County High School’s homecoming and, as is tradition, portions of Main Street will be closed for the annual parade and pep rally.

Set for Oct. 16 from 2 - 3:30 p.m., the parade will bring an influx of school spirit downtown with the WCHS band, cheerleaders, dance team, football teams and other school groups as well as students representing their classes in the always hotly contested float competition.

Much of Main Street will be closed from 1 - 3:30 p.m. along the parade route which will travel down Main Street, turning off at Market Square. Some floats will continue on to Warren County Middle School. City officials are expecting an estimated crowd of 7,000.

Following the parade, a pep rally will be held at The Lot on Court Square.
