Martin Holloran Young, 61

Smithville resident and New Orleans, La. native Martin Holloran Young, 61, was born Dec. 20, 1963 and died Dec. 9, 2025 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville following a brief illness.

A veteran of the United States Navy, mechanic with Aamco Transmission in Lebanon, TN and a member of Jesus Name Pentecostal church, he was the son of the late Jose and Josephine Holloran Juerta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Michael Young and grandson, Michael Barnes.

He was married to Samantha Young of Smithville on August 21, 1991. In addition to his wife, Martin is survived by children, David (Stephanie) Young of Smithville and Amanda Barnes of Clermont, Ga.; grandchildren, Isaiah, Hannah, Amayah and Elijah Young and Steven Barnes; sister, Melisa Christmas of Mt. Dora, Fla.; nephews, Rick and Mark Christmas and a host of cousins.

Per Mr. Young’s wishes, he will be cremated. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
