- The Centertown Community Improvement Club will have a haunted house at 92 Gilbert St. Oct. 24-25 from 6-9 p.m. Admission is $8 for ages 13 and up and $5 for kids 5-12. Children under 5 are admitted free. All proceeds go toward the upkeep of the Centertown CIC building.
- Freedom Life Church, located at 4023 Smithville Hwy, will be presenting the drama production “The Judgement” at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 and at 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26. Everyone is welcome to attend.
- Freedom Life Church is also set to host a Trunk-or-Treat event on Sunday, Oct. 25 from 2-4 p.m.
- Van Buren County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Legends by Lantern Tour on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 24–25, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Burritt College Building in Spencer. The guided lantern tours last about 50 minutes and share local legends and spooky tales from Van Buren County’s past. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children, and all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited, and reservations are encouraged. In addition, the Chamber invites members and business owners to take part in the Trail of Treats event on Friday, October 25. Setup begins at 4 p.m., with the trail opening at 5 p.m. There is no cost to host a table, and prizes will be awarded for the most festive display. Businesses may also purchase $50 advertisements for 18x24 signs to be displayed during the Lantern Tour. For information or reservations, email vbchamber2024@gmail.com.
- First Baptist Church of Smartt will host its Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 25, from 2-6 p.m. at its location at 4907 Manchester Hwy. in Smartt, TN. Everyone is welcome for games, food, prizes and prayers, and encouraged to take care of the photo booth to commemorate the day’s activities.
- Cornerstone Baptist Church will host a Jesus & Treat event on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 2-4 p.m. at its address of 49 Golf Club Rd. Those wanting to attend will treated to a lot of fun-filled activities such as bounce houses, games and trunk-or-treat all while enjoying food, music and fellowship.
- Dayspring Community Church will host a Trunk-or-Treat Fall Festival from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at its address of 4295 Smithville Hwy. The event will feature a lot of fun activities such as balloon animals, a bounce house, a cake walk and a hayride. There will also be hotdogs, refreshments and candy for those that attend.
- Hickory Creek Elementary PTO will host Cruisin’ for the Hawks on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Warren County High School. The car and motorcycle show will feature food and drink vendors, shopping booths, kids’ games, raffle prizes, and awards at 1 p.m. Vehicle entry is $15 for early bird (9:30–10:30 a.m.) or $25 for late entry (10:30–11:30 a.m.), with motorcycle entry at $10 and $20. - McMinnville Young Professionals will host a Halloween Trivia Night Fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m. at Smooth Rapids, 245 Durham St. Teams can register in advance to compete for prizes while supporting Families in Crisis. Costumes are encouraged, and proceeds will benefit local shelter and support programs. This event is open to the public.
- Local animal rescues will host a special screening of “The Lost Boys” Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Three Star Cinema in McMinnville. Tickets are $5 each, concessions will be available, and proceeds/donations will go to support animal shelters in McMinnville and Warren County.
- St. Matthews Episcopal Church, located at 105 Edgewood Ave., will host its Trunk-or-Treat event on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 6-7:30 p.m.
- Downtown McMinnville will be hosting Trick-or-Treating on Friday, Oct. 31 from 3-5 p.m. with several businesses taking part in a sensory-friendly time frame beforehand at 10-11:30 a.m.
- In the honor of Linda Lorance, a chili and soup supper featuring live music will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Centertown Community Center on 92 Gilbert St. Donations will be accepted at the event.
- First National Bank will play host to its fifth annual Fall Fashion Event presented by Tiger Lily Boutique on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 2-4 p.m. in their main lobby on 200 East Main St. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Warren County Fuel Program.
- The Warren County Democratic Party will hold its monthly meeting Monday, Nov. 3, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administrative Building at 201 Locust St. The group meets the first Monday of each month.
- From Nov. 5-9, North Warren Church of Christ, located at 472 Prakhurst Rd., will be hosting Fall Gospel Meetings that will cover a variety of topics. There will be one 7 p.m. service each night from Wednesday, Nov. 5 through Saturday, Nov. 8 and two services on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- The Warren County Health Department along with Ascension Saint Thomas will be hosting a Mobile Mammogram on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 8:30am-3:30 pm at 1401 Sparta St. Those wishing to schedule an appointment can contact the Warren County Health department at 931-473-8468.
- TCAT McMinnville will host an open house on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 4-6 p.m. at their campus on 241 Vo-Tech Drive
- Families in Crisis will host a Sexual Assault Support Group Thursday, Nov. 6 and Thursday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 101 W. Main St., McMinnville. The group offers survivors a safe space to receive support, take part in healing activities, increase self-esteem, and learn coping skills to empower them on their journey. Meetings are held the first and third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. This event is open to survivors seeking connection, encouragement, and healing resources.
- The Small Town Truck Meet has been rescheduled for Nov. 8, 2025, at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds. Organized by Ashley Roberts, the event is a fundraiser to support two individuals who were recently injured in an accident. All proceeds will go directly toward their hospital bills and other essential needs. The gathering is expected to include music, food, games, and potentially a burnout pit, pending county approval. Attendees are encouraged to come out and show support for friends and family while enjoying a community-centered celebration of trucks and local spirit.
- Caring Hearts United will present the 15th Annual Wonderland of Trees November 9–15, 2025, at Three Star Mall in McMinnville. Admission is free, and doors will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The charitable event features viewing and silent bidding on fully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces, gingerbread houses, and other donated items. A bake sale and Wonderland Store will also be available, along with live music, dance, and other entertainment throughout the week. Proceeds benefit hospice patients. This event is open to the public.
- On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, the Black History Museum of Warren County will host a presentation by Gary Burke, a Civil War reenactor with the Nashville-based 13th Regiment of the United States Colored Troops (USCT) Living History Association. Twenty-thousand Tennesseans joined the USCT, the second-most of any state after Virginia. Fifteen USCT soldiers won the Medal of Honor. Burke will tell the stories of the USCT and particularly the 13th Regiment, starting at noon at the Magness Library. Refreshments will be served and admission is free. Donations will be accepted.
- The Warren County Rescue Squad’s next country ham breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 15. The dining room will be open, and both pickup and delivery will be available by calling 931-473-7023. Call by 6 a.m. for delivery orders, but please give at least one-hour notice for large orders. Breakfast plates are $12, and include ham or sausage, two biscuits, potatoes, scrambled eggs and gravy. Ham biscuits, sausage biscuits and biscuits & gravy will also be available. Proceeds go to help fund the Rescue Squad’s efforts throughout the year.
- The Magness Library will be hosting its annual Local Authors Day event Saturday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Patrons will have the opportunity to meet local authors and win giveaway prizes all while enjoying free popcorn. - The Warren County Genealogical Historical Association will hold its monthly meeting Saturday, Nov. 15, from 2-4 p.m. at the County Administration Building at 201 Locust St. The WCGHS meets the third Saturday of each month offering a different program or speaker. - The Warren County Master Gardeners’ Association will meet Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The WCMGA meets the third Thursday of each month, gathering at the fairgrounds during summer months and at the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administration Building during the rest of the year. - The Warren County Republican Party will hold its monthly meeting Thursday, Nov. 20, from 6-7 p.m. in the early voting room of the Warren County Administration Building on Locust St. The group meets the third Thursday of each month to promote personal liberties and conservative values, as well as discuss and execute ideas to elect conservatives to local city and county government.
- Heavenly Closet Thrift Store is open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 100 Market Street, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market. The organization’s soup kitchen is open Mondays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. until noon each day, at 218 E. Main St. Proceeds from the thrift store fund the soup kitchen’s efforts. Volunteers and donations are always accepted. The group is part of the “Helping Hands” ministry.
