• The Central Baptist Association has started sign-ups for its annual Ron Hillis Toy Drive and those wishing to sign up can do so at the Association’s location on 4064 Sparta Hwy. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. or by calling 931-668-3690. Other sign-up dates will be Saturday, Nov. 1 at Madison Street Baptist on 116 Madison St, Nov. 8 at Three Rivers Baptist Church on 461 Friendship Dr. in Rock Island, Nov. 15 at Northside Baptist Church on 1574 Yager Rd. and Nov. 22 at Gath Baptist Church on 6967 Smithville Hwy., all of which will take place from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. The pick up date for the drive will be Saturday, Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Three Rivers Baptist Church.
  • In the honor of Linda Lorance, a chili and soup supper featuring live music will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Centertown Community Center on 92 Gilbert St. Donations will be accepted at the event.
  • First National Bank will play host to its fifth annual Fall Fashion Event presented by Tiger Lily Boutique on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 2-4 p.m. in their main lobby on 200 East Main St. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Warren County Fuel Program.
  • The Warren County Democratic Party will hold its monthly meeting Monday, Nov. 3, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administrative Building at 201 Locust St. The group meets the first Monday of each month.
  • From Nov. 5-9, North Warren Church of Christ, located at 472 Prakhurst Rd., will be hosting Fall Gospel Meetings that will cover a variety of topics. There will be one 7 p.m. service each night from Wednesday, Nov. 5 through Saturday, Nov. 8 and two services on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • The Warren County Health Department along with Ascension Saint Thomas will be hosting a Mobile Mammogram on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 8:30am to 3:30 pm at 1401 Sparta St. Those wishing to schedule an appointment can contact the Warren County Health department at 931-473-8468.
  • TCAT McMinnville will host an open house on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 4-6 p.m. at their campus on 241 Vo-Tech Drive
  • Families in Crisis will host a Sexual Assault Support Group Thursday, Nov. 6 and Thursday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 101 W. Main St., McMinnville. The group offers survivors a safe space to receive support, take part in healing activities, increase self-esteem, and learn coping skills to empower them on their journey. Meetings are held the first and third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. This event is open to survivors seeking connection, encouragement, and healing resources.
  • The Small Town Truck Meet has been rescheduled for Nov. 8, 2025, at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds. Organized by Ashley Roberts, the event is a fundraiser to support two individuals who were recently injured in an accident. All proceeds will go directly toward their hospital bills and other essential needs. The gathering is expected to include music, food, games, and potentially a burnout pit, pending county approval. Attendees are encouraged to come out and show support for friends and family while enjoying a community-centered celebration of trucks and local spirit.
  • Caring Hearts United will present the 15th Annual Wonderland of Trees Nov. 10–15, 2025, at Three Star Mall in McMinnville. Admission is free, and doors will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The charitable event features viewing and silent bidding on fully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces, gingerbread houses, and other donated items. A bake sale and Wonderland Store will also be available, along with live music, dance, and other entertainment throughout the week. Proceeds benefit hospice patients. This event is open to the public.
  • The McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for Interior & Kitchen Concepts, LLC on Monday, Nov. 10 at 605 Red Rd from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, the Black History Museum of Warren County will host a presentation by Gary Burke, a Civil War reenactor with the Nashville-based 13th Regiment of the United States Colored Troops (USCT) Living History Association. Twenty-thousand Tennesseans joined the USCT, the second-most of any state after Virginia. Fifteen USCT soldiers won the Medal of Honor. Burke will tell the stories of the USCT and particularly the 13th Regiment, starting at noon at the Magness Library. Refreshments will be served and admission is free. Donations will be accepted.
  • The Warren County Rescue Squad’s next country ham breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 15. The dining room will be open, and both pickup and delivery will be available by calling 931-473-7023. Call by 6 a.m. for delivery orders, but please give at least one-hour notice for large orders. Breakfast plates are $12, and include ham or sausage, two biscuits, potatoes, scrambled eggs and gravy. Ham biscuits, sausage biscuits and biscuits & gravy will also be available. Proceeds go to help fund the Rescue Squad’s efforts throughout the year.
  • The Kindness Club’s fourth annual Christmas Village will be held Saturday, Nov. 15 from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. at Morrison Elementary School on 500 S Fair St, featuring over 60 craft vendors, three food trucks (Biker Bites, Warren County High School’s truck and Kettle Korn Kraze & Lemonade) and photos with Santa. Admission is free and the first 300 attendees will receive a Christmas tote bag. Guests are encouraged to park behind the school and bring nonperishable food items for the club’s Blessing Box at Morrison Park. All proceeds benefit the Kindness Club, which supports kindness-focused activities for 3rd–8th graders in the school and community.
  • The Magness Library will be hosting its annual Local Authors Day event Saturday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Patrons will have the opportunity to meet local authors and win giveaway prizes all while enjoying free popcorn.   • The Warren County Genealogical Historical Association will hold its monthly meeting Saturday, Nov. 15, from 2-4 p.m. at the County Administration Building at 201 Locust St. The WCGHS meets the third Saturday of each month offering a different program or speaker.   • The Warren County Master Gardeners’ Association will meet Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The WCMGA meets the third Thursday of each month, gathering at the fairgrounds during summer months and at the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administration Building during the rest of the year.   • The Warren County Republican Party will hold its monthly meeting Thursday, Nov. 20, from 6-7 p.m. in the early voting room of the Warren County Administration Building on Locust St. The group meets the third Thursday of each month to promote personal liberties and conservative values, as well as discuss and execute ideas to elect conservatives to local city and county government.
  • The Van Buren Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the annual Turkey Trot on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Spencer City Park at 8 a.m., featuring the Turkey Trot 5K run and the Gobble Wobble one-mile fun walk for families and kids. Reservations are $20 a person for the Turkey Trot and $5 a person for the Gobble Wobble. Those wishing to reserve a spot can contact the chamber at vbchamber2024@gmail.com. The event will also feature kids activities, costume parades, awards and raffle drawings. Businesses can support the event through $50 sponsorships, which include their name on the official race T-shirt, and are invited to donate prizes, raffle items or set up a community engagement table during the event.
  • Heavenly Closet Thrift Store is open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 100 Market Street, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market. The organization’s soup kitchen is open Mondays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. until noon each day, at 218 E. Main St. Proceeds from the thrift store fund the soup kitchen’s efforts. Volunteers and donations are always accepted. The group is part of the “Helping Hands” ministry.
