When members of the Stitch Share and Show Guild gather around their sewing machines, the conversations flow as easily as the stitches. Patterns are traded, stories are shared, and the hum of fabric becoming something new fills the room. But over the past year, those sessions have carried a deeper purpose: the guild has been quietly working to wrap their community—quite literally—in comfort.

This week, that mission reached a milestone as the guild delivered 27 handmade quilts to the Doyle Volunteer Fire Department. Each quilt was sewn with one goal in mind: to ensure first responders have something warm to offer neighbors facing one of the worst moments of their lives.
